Faculty members discussed and reached
mutual agreement to move forward with future collaboration under K2: Asian
Laboratory for Design-Driven Innovation.
As part of this collaboration the K2 Winter
School has been launched. The K2 Winter School will have diverse and talented
participants comprised of 10 students from Kyushu University, 10 students from
ID KAIST, students from international top-level design schools and Japanese
companies. The teams will work on designing urban futures for Fukuoka city over
the course of the week with direction by Bryan Boyer. Results will be presented
as part of the K2 Symposium.
A thorough campus tour was organized for ID
KAIST members during their stay, to further explore possibilities for
collaboration. This included the Design Workshop, Research Center for Human
Environmental Adaption, Experience Environment for Acoustic Design and Fab
