【Report】The 3rd Asian Design Symposium was held on Feb. 4

The Asian Design Symposium, organized by Center for Designed Futures of Kyushu University, Faculty of Design, aims to create a new academic research field in the Asian region through collaboration among Asian design Universities. The goal is to position this symposium as an educational and research center for design studies. On February 4, 2023, the third conference was held, welcoming deans and vice deans from 8 Asian Universities and introducing the latest design research and design education activities of each institution. In the latter half of the meeting, there was a lively discussion on how the symposium should be organized and how it can develop in the future. In ordert to further development of the Syposium, various proposals were made, including rotating organizers, establishing working groups, and transitioning from online to face-to-face meetings to enhance communication further.
