The sign and pictogram designs created in collaboration with Professor Ihara, Professor Sunaga, Professor Ogata, and the Fukuoka City Games Organizing Committee were implemented at the FINA World Aquatics Championships 2023. Based on the results of comprehension surveys targeting people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities, we proposed 33 pictograms, including revisions to 9 standard JIS pictograms, which were then applied to indoor and outdoor signs.
