About the Lab
Ping Ergo Lab β Occupational Science & Ergonomics engages in a wide range of research topics from fundamental studies to applications related to ergonomics and health. We actively collaborate with other laboratories and industries to bridge the gap between science and design.
Our work integrates occupational science, physical ergonomics, and emerging technologies to understand and improve human performance in the workplace and daily life. Using wearable sensors and advanced measurement tools, we aim to enhance safety, usability, and well-being through better work design, assistive technologies, and promotion of healthier living in modern life.
Ongoing Research Projects
- Ecological momentary assessment (EMA) for musculoskeletal health among sedentary workers
- e-Sports participation, physical activity levels, and health promotion
- Mixed-reality technologies (AR, VR, XR) and health promotion
- Deep learning application in IMU and human motion detection
- Ultrasound imaging in musculoskeletal health (e.g. work-related musculoskeletal disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic ankle instability (CAI), median nerve compression, muscle architecure)
- Ergonomics evaluation and design on handtools and daily use items
