The reason why I chose the School of Design
I’ve loved making crafts and drawing since I was little. By the time I entered high school, that interest grew into a desire to work in a creative field, especially in film production. I also became interested in music, so I began searching for art-focused universities. When considering my future, I felt it was important not only to focus on art but also to broaden my horizons. That is why I chose the School of Design.
My most memorable class
Two classes really stand out. The first is "Basic of Arts," which you can take in your second year. As the name suggests, it involves hands-on work and drawing. Honestly, it felt like this class was designed just for me! The second is the film production project in the "Transdisciplinary Projects.” I had been hesitant to plan film production on my own, so taking this class became a driving force in pursuing my personal creative activities.
My student life
The School of Design has several clubs involved in the school festival, and these clubs engage in activities unique to our school. I don't want to hold back my abilities, so I participate in such clubs as actively as I can. Creative work is often done alone, but collaborating in these clubs has given me invaluable experience in advancing artistic activities as a team.
Message to prospective students
Some people find studying for entrance exams painful, while others feel they’re managing well. I was definitely the former. But once you push through this tough period and enter the School of Design, it's pure paradise. Beyond academics, you’ll have countless opportunities to showcase your skills and creativity. I hope you’ll join us and surprise everyone with what you can do. I’m cheering for you—good luck!
