Departmental Exchange Agreement Signed with Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad

On February 10, 2025, a signing ceremony for academic and student exchange agreements between the School/Graduate School of Design, Kyushu University (KU) and the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) was held at Kyushu University’s Ohashi Campus.
The agreements aim to promote academic and student exchanges between the two institutions. Prof. Akira Omoto, Dean of the Faculty of Design signed on behalf of KU, while Prof. Tarun Kanti Panda, Dean of International Relations, signed for IITH.
At the signing ceremony, from JICA, Ms. Kyoko Nakano, and from Kyushu University, Professor Kaoru Suzuki from the Global Strategy Office, and from the Faculty of Design, Professor Gerard B. Remijn (Director of the International Office) and Associate Professor Masaaki Iwamoto were in attendance.
Following the ceremony, discussions were held regarding specific future exchange activities, including joint supervision of doctoral students, student exchange programs, and research collaboration.
These agreements are expected to enhance educational and research activities in the field of design at both institutions.
The School/Graduate School of Design will continue to expand its international educational and research network, fulfilling its role as a globally oriented academic hub.
