
At the “20th Student Interior Design Contest 2025,” organized by the Japan Interior Designers’ Association (JID), three students from the Industrial Design Course, School of Design, Kyushu University, and an exchange student received the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and Special Prize.

These works were created as part of the “Interior Product Design” project within the course Creative Design Exercise offered in the Industrial Design Course, School of Design, Kyushu University (Instructors: Professor Yasuyuki Hirai and Associate Professor Naoshige Akita). The project was carried out with expert advice on forestry and the characteristics of wood provided by Kyushu Rinsan Corporation, and the works were produced using cedar wood supplied by the company.
