The Kyushu University Faculty of Design Strategic Design Department is now recruiting faculty members as follows.

Intellectual property law, Intellectual property management seminar, Introduction to Media design III, Media design comprehensive project I & II, Graduation research I & II, etc. (including sharing)
Graduate School of Design (Strategic Design Course)
Intellectual property law 1 & 2, SD special project I, II, III & IV, Art and design seminar, Art and design special research I, II, III & IV, Strategic design project I, II, III & IV, etc. (including sharing)
(For “other”, we are assuming studio projects)

9. Qualifications (specific requirements for the position):
One who have a deep interest and understanding in design and can teach and conduct research that meets the following conditions:
1) Have research achievements in intellectual property at educational or research institutions such as universities in Japan or abroad.
    Or have practical experience in intellectual property strategy consulting at companies or local governments in Japan or abroad.
2) Be able to provide practical education related to innovation creation from intellectual property, related to design, and their management.
3) Have a doctoral degree.
    Or have equivalent achievements, or are expected to obtain a doctoral degree within a few years of assuming the position.
4) Preferably a track record of obtaining competitive external funds as a representative, such as Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research.
5) Be able to participate cooperatively in the management and operation of undergraduate schools, graduate schools, and departments.

10. Benefits:
1) Salary: Annual salary system (introduced on April 1, 2020) will be applied.
The amount of annual salary will be determined in accordance with the relevant regulations of the university based on experience, etc.
2) Working hours: 7 hours and 45 minutes will be considered as working hours according to the professional discretionary work system.
3) Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and New Year’s holidays
(December 29th to January 3rd)
4) Insurance: Employment insurance, Workmen’s accident insurance, Health insurance, Employee’s pension insurance
