Kouyo Shigemura, a first-year master’s student in the Media Design Course (Tomotari Lab), has won the “Judges’ Award” at the Cygames Creative Contest 2024 for his loop animation titled “The Heliocentric Theory.” This contest aims to discover and nurture the next generation of creators. The work was selected from approximately 3,500 entries. The meticulous production method, which involves sculpting motifs and then creating CG data to add shading, gives the work a compelling expression of light and movement.
