[Award] Students from the Industrial Design Course received awards at the 21st Student Interior Design Contest 2026

At the “21st Student Interior Design Contest 2026,” organized by the Japan Interior Designers’ Association (JID), four students from the Industrial Design Course of the School of Design received the Excellence Award, Encouragement Awards, and a Special Award.

These works were created as part of the project “Interior Product Design” within the course “Creative Design Project” in the Industrial Design Course (Course Instructors: Yasuyuki Hirai and Naoshige Akita). In addition, Kyushu Rinsan Co., Ltd. provided expert advice on forestry and wood properties, and the works were produced using cedar materials supplied by the company.
