My current job
I am involved in the planning and development of Aquabeads, an arts and crafts toy. Each person in charge oversees the process from planning to product launch, including brainstorming ideas for new products, deciding specifications, and directing printed materials like packaging, and coordinating with production factories in China. Since our products are sold in over 50 countries, domestically and worldwide, I find great fulfillment in delivering something I’ve created to people all over the world.
How I spent my student life
I joined Geiko because I’ve always loved drawing and creating things. I found classes such as the Design Workshop and modeling particularly enjoyable, and the excitement I felt during those times led me to my current career. Additionally, the frequent opportunities to present in class are proving invaluable in my work today.
Message for prospective students
One of the greatest strengths of Geiko is how many alumni go on to successful careers. Unlike many art universities, where the focus tends to be on creating personal works, Geiko emphasizes developing ideas and making proposals with real-world products in mind. This practical approach directly connects to career opportunities and ensures a meaningful experience.
