Special Project on Design VII “Service Design for Societal Change”

This lecturing series will address the theme Service Design and Societal Change. Over the last decade, this area of design has gradually gained importance and interest amongst designers in general due to the increasing holistic view on product-service systems. This 2-credit master-level course will be implemented as an international lecturing series with a focus on service design. Speakers from various international universities, including Kyushu University, and organisations will present 8 one-hour lectures in an open online seminar series. Each international lecturer will cast a unique perspective on the future development opportunities for service design based on their research.

The course will be offered in situ at Room 411, OHASHI Campus, Kyushu University, 4 Chome-9-1 Shiobaru, Minami Ward, Fukuoka. The lecture series will start on 2023.10.03 until 2023.11.28. The lecture series will be hosted every Tuesday afternoon from 17.00 – 18.00 for casual participants, and from 16.45 – 19.30 for students wishing to earn credits.
