“Ebb+Flow”

This exhibition is the final outcome of the collaborative class with four other universities in four different countries to create artworks through international collaboration using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) under the International Art Collaborations Network (INTAC). The four universities are the University of Europe for Applied Sciences (Germany), Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) University (Canada), Tampere University of Applied Sciences (Finland), and Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (Mexico). This class provided students with the opportunity to be taught and given feedback from professors at overseas universities.

Students formed small groups of students from different universities to create artwork under the theme “Ebb + Flow”. Various ICT (Information and Communication Technology) tools such as Zoom, Teams, Miro (an online whiteboard tool), Slack, Instagram, and Google Translate are used for communication. The exhibition, “Ebb + Flow”, was on the Ohashi Campus from March 15 to 21, 2024, at the Design Library and Gallery in Building 1, with an opening event on March 14, 2024 and a panel discussion with the following 6 professors in person.
