On Friday, October 11, 2024, Kyushu University’s Ohashi Campus welcomed Prof. Frank Heidmann from the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam (FH Potsdam), Germany.
The Faculty of Design, the Graduate School of Design, and the Graduate Faculty of Design at Kyushu University recently formalized an academic and student exchange agreement with the Faculty of Design at FH Potsdam, effective October 1, 2024. This visit marked the first official meeting following the signing of the agreement.
Associate Prof. Gerard Remijn, Director of the Geiko International Office (Department of Acoustic Design), and Associate Prof. Madoka Yuki (Department of Future Design) hosted the visitor for a productive meeting focused on strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two institutions.
During the meeting, both parties discussed concrete plans for implementing vibrant exchange programs between the universities. Topics included the active operation of student exchange programs and the organization of joint workshops in areas such as data visualization and interaction design.
This visit has significantly advanced the academic and student exchange plans between the two universities. We look forward to building an increasingly strong partnership in the future.
