My current job
I am currently involved in developing rental apartments. My responsibilities include planning promotional strategies and launching new property websites upon the completion of buildings.
In addition, I worked on a Park-PFI project (a system by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism to select private companies for managing or installing facilities within parks through public bidding) in collaboration with an architectural firm in New York. For this project, I was in charge of organizing an international design competition and selecting the architect. I often work not only with domestic but also international architects and designers, and I hope to bring new charm to the city of Fukuoka.

How I spent my student life
During my student years, I dedicated myself wholeheartedly to both assignments and having fun.
While tackling design projects, I became fascinated with the initial concept creation process, thinking about what kind of structures would create vibrancy in the city or what kind of spaces could make it more engaging. This became the foundation for my current career. One of my fondest memories is staying up late with friends to work on design assignments.
In graduate school, I participated in an exchange program and studied in Germany. During my time abroad, I traveled to various countries, such as the UK and Morocco, gaining exposure to experiences and ideas that I couldn’t have encountered in Japan.
Message for prospective students
One of the School of Design’s greatest strengths is the opportunity to meet diverse and unique individuals.
Everyone approaches design from different perspectives, including architecture, product design, film, visual media, sound, and more, and I was exposed to a variety of ideas and outputs, which broadened my horizons and enriched my sensibility. If you are interested in design, I strongly encourage you to join us!
