My current job
At a university in Kyoto, I am involved in digital fabrication using digital tools such as 3D printers and laser cutters. Additionally, I focus on inclusive design, a theme I have pursued since my graduate school days and engage in both education and research related to social design. Furthermore, I organize, design, and regularly hold citizen-participatory workshops that aim to foster sustainability and social inclusion by collaborating with people worldwide. Through these activities, I am exploring the possibilities of social design in practice.

How I spent my student life
As an undergraduate student, I studied acoustic design and participated in music club as well as PA and recording club. During that time, I discovered the potential of design and specialized in design strategy during graduate school. While pursuing my master's degree, I had the opportunity to study abroad at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, where I gained an international perspective on digital fabrication and social design. The concept of "humanization of technology," which I encountered during my time as a Geiko's student, has become the foundation of my current activities.

Message for prospective students
When I was a prospective student, I had little interest in design. I aimed for the School of Design at Kyushu University solely because I wanted to study acoustic design, but discovering design at Geiko changed my life.
If you are reading "Alumni Messages" and feel a sense of curiosity or excitement, I highly recommend Geiko to you.
