The future builds on the past. However, in today’s society, new buildings are being built all the time, and we cannot remember what once stood there. Rather than erasing the accumulation of time that used to be there, new buildings are piled on top of the old ones, creating a simultaneous existence of past, present, and future. In the same way that architecture of various eras is mixed in a city, they are layered in a single building. The architecture that accumulates like a stratum discovers new value in the flow of time.
